This specialized software, originally developed by ARCO for internal AVO analysis, and later acquired by BP, is licensed to select industry service providers. An internal algorithm calculates continuous detailed velocities by minimizing joint statistics between the reflection intercept and reflection gradient. Extensive tools are available for removing background effects from the AVO parameters to reveal AVO in detail. The detailed velocity field derived from this analysis is very useful for pore pressure prediction and analysis of pressure compartmentalization.
